The Fiat 500 has been seen everywhere lately it seems.  The Fiat 500 is a subcompact Italian vehicle that came back into the United States car market after a hiatus of more than 25 years.

The Fiat 500 of today is designed as a 3-door hatchback or as a 2-door convertible with roll back roof that is made from cloth (also known as a Cabriolet or as a hot hatch (also known as an Abarth) or lastly the 500T.  The 500T is much quieter than nay of the other models.

There is also more exciting news concerning the Fiat 500.  The summer of 2013 will produce a Fiat 500 electric car.  This electric vehicle will be manufactured in California and Oregon only.  In 2014, the Fiat 500 will produce two more models.  The first is the 500E which will be all electric.  This car is a compliance car that Fiat created in order to meet the zero-emission car regulations of the state of California.  It has been rumored that only a few hundred of these electric cars will be manufactured.  Even still, it is most likely that only car buyer in California and Oregon will be able to get their hands on this electric Fiat model.

Fiat is also looking more into mainstream by expanding the Fiat 500 into larger cars.  For instance, the Fiat 500L is a larger 5-door hatchback that is set to be the focal point of the 2015 all-wheel drive 500X.

The basic Fiat 500 model is a 3-door hatchback that comes in four trim levels which include Pop, Lounge, Gucci and Sport.  The convertible models are only available in Lounge, Gucci and Pop trims.

The basic Fiat 500 models which were on sale throughout the United States last year were actually introduced in Europe as a 2008 model.  This basic model received many rave reviews for not only its spectacular interior style but its stunning exterior as well.  The car also got exceptional reviews for its solid assembly and high level of standard features.  The 500 models that are sold in Europe are actually built in Poland while the ones sold in the United States are set to be built in Mexico.

Every single Fiat 500 model vehicle utilizes a 1.4 liter four cylinder engine which Fiat now builds in the United States.  The Fiat 500 models have an average fuel economy of 38 miles per galloon on the highway and 30 miles per gallon in the city.

The Fiat 500 cars have many more features than you will find with other cars of the same size including leather heated seats as well as sensors made for rear parking assistance.

The bottom line is that all the models in the Fiat 500 line are fun and easy to maneuver and have a personality of their own from the chassis tuning to the stylish interior.  The Fiat 500 is sure to be a success as a relaunch in the already tough United States car market.
