FORD 2014 Mustang, Something To Look Forward To
Ford has a lot of nice vehicles coming out for the 2014 season. Looking at the lineup it appears that there is something for everyone. Whether it’s the Mustang muscle car or the Ford Fiesta, you’re going to be pleased with anything you choose.
The new Ford Explorer looks promising, too. You can get it with a lot of premium features or a base model, depending on what your budget is. It still has the recognizable and very unique Explorer design and you can get it in front-wheel or four-wheel drive. You can also order the V-6 Turbocharged EcoBoost engine that produces 365 horsepower with 350 pound-feet of torque. That’s a pretty powerful set up that has a lot of freeway strength and towing capability.
Some of the options on the new Explorer are a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission or, if you like, it comes standard with a six-speed automatic. Either way, you’ll have a comfy SUV that seats seven and has a power liftgate with a remote start and a hill descent control, (that is quite popular and useful wherever you might live). The Explorer also offers a rearview camera, active park assist, push-button start, blind spot info center, curve control inflatable rear safety belts and anti-lock brake system, among many other features.
The Mustang is going to be one of the most popular American cars in 2014, Kayser Ford predicts. Just like the 1964-65 Mustang, it’s like a totally new car on the market. You can get a convertible or a coupe. It comes in a V-6, GT and a GT500 model. The GT version packs a walloping 5.0-liter, V-8 engine that pushes out 420 horses and if you upgrade to the GT500, you’re going to get a staggering 662 horsepower with 631-lb-ft of torque. Maybe staggering is not a strong enough word to describe the power of the Shelby GT500. How about supersonic? Well, that might be pushing it a little.
The 2014 Mustang has a lot of features for extra safety and performance. A rearview camera and electronic assist steering, plus an easy to use navigation system will make you feel like there’s a co-pilot with you, who is watching your back. There’s a glass roof, heated seats and some hands-free capabilities. The Mustang also has an anti-locking brake system, advanced airbags and stability control. All of these tell us that Ford is enabling you to power up and be safe at the same time. What a considerate company.
